Fiber Splice Sleeves for 60mm Dual-Pin FTTH Drop Cable Splices

These fiber splice sleeves are 60mm heat-shrink protectors for fusion splices in compatible dual-fiber FTTH drop cables. Each sleeve combines a transparent outer tube, a hot-melt inner tube and two parallel steel reinforcement pins to support and cover the splice area.

The dual-pin construction is intended for the splice section of a two-fiber drop cable rather than an ordinary single-pin, bare-fiber sleeve. The supplier specifies two 304 stainless steel reinforcement pins, each 55mm long and 1.2mm in diameter. The clear outer tube helps the installer view and position the splice before heating.

Check the cable cross-section and the splice holder’s available space before installation. Center the completed fusion splice within the sleeve, apply heat using settings appropriate to the sleeve and equipment, and allow it to cool before placing it into the splice tray. The supplier has not provided a verified shrinking temperature for this specific SKU.

This is a dual-pin protector intended for compatible dual-fiber FTTH drop cable splices. For a conventional single bare-fiber splice, choose a sleeve whose structure and dimensions match the fiber and splice holder.

What is the difference between the 60mm sleeve and 55mm pin dimensions?

The entire protection sleeve is approximately 60mm long. Each of its two reinforcing stainless steel pins is specified as 55mm long; the pin length is not the overall sleeve length.

Can these splice protectors be used in any fiber splice tray?
