This DisplayPort to VGA Cable connects a DisplayPort video output on a compatible computer to a VGA input on a monitor or projector. The 1.8m black cable has a DisplayPort male plug at the source end and a 15-pin VGA male connector at the display end, with hand-tightened VGA screws for a secure fit.

Connect a DisplayPort source to a VGA display

Use the cable when your desktop or laptop has a full-size DisplayPort output and your display uses a VGA input. The connection direction is DisplayPort source → VGA display; it is not intended for a VGA-output device connected to a DisplayPort-input monitor. Check the physical ports before ordering, since Mini DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI are different connectors.

Can I use this cable from a VGA computer to a DisplayPort monitor?

No. This product is designed for a DisplayPort video output connected to a VGA display input. It does not support the reverse signal direction.

What kind of ports do I need?
