SC APC to ST UPC fiber patch cable for OS2 Single-Mode Links
The SC APC to ST UPC fiber patch cable connects an SC/APC interface to an ST/UPC interface using one OS2 single-mode fiber. This simplex cable features a nominal 9/125 μm fiber category and a yellow 2.0 mm LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket. Available length selections are 1 m, 2 m, 3 m, 5 m and 10 m.
Each connector must match the interface and polish at its own connection point: mate the SC/APC end with an SC/APC port or adapter, and the ST/UPC end with an ST/UPC interface. APC and UPC end faces must not be directly mated to one another. This combination is intended for compatible single-mode fiber patching between distribution hardware and optical equipment.

Optical Connection and Performance Checks
Reliable single-mode patching depends on correctly matched connector end faces and appropriate insertion-loss and return-loss performance. The SC/APC and ST/UPC ends of this assembly have different polishing geometries and must be connected to matching interfaces. End-face condition and measured optical losses should be checked against the relevant acceptance specification.
