12 Fiber LC APC Pigtail for Single-Mode Fiber Splicing
The 12 Fiber LC APC Pigtail is a 1-meter, 12-fiber termination assembly using G.652.D single-mode fiber. Each color-coded 0.9 mm branch has an LC/APC connector at one end and an unterminated fiber end for splicing at the other. It is designed for organized fiber termination in optical distribution frames, splice enclosures and FTTH distribution systems.
Angled-contact LC/APC connectors are intended to mate with compatible LC/APC adapters or ports. UPC and APC connector end faces should not be mated directly. The individual fiber colors help technicians identify branches during routing and fusion splicing, while the bundled layout keeps the 12 fibers together until they are separated at the termination point.
For installation, route the pigtail branches into the splice tray, prepare and splice each unterminated end to the matching cable fiber, then secure the splice protection and manage bend radius. This assembly is a pigtail with one pre-terminated end; it is not a patch cord with connectors on both ends.
| Product Type | Fiber Optic Pigtail | Fiber Count | 12 fibers |
| Connector | LC/APC | Fiber Type | G.652.D single-mode |
| Assembly Length | 1 m | Branch Diameter | 0.9 mm |
| Termination | LC/APC to unterminated fiber | Fiber Identification | Color-coded branches |
| Insertion Loss | ≤0.3 dB | Return Loss (APC) | ≥60 dB |

A fiber optic pigtail has a connector at one end and an unterminated fiber end for joining to a cable by splicing. Multi-fiber pigtail bundles allow individual fibers to be identified, routed into splice trays and connected to the correct distribution ports. Protect each completed splice and manage fiber routing according to the enclosure and cable requirements.

Fiber optic pigtails are used in FTTH distribution boxes, optical distribution frames and telecom termination enclosures. Selection depends on fiber mode, connector type, polish, fiber count and available splice-tray space. Match the connector and polish to the intended adapter and the fiber characteristics to the network design before installation.
